I am 5 foot seven and weigh 175-180 pounds with an athletic build and lots of muscle, I am typically a large and purchased an extra large, they were still snug but still flattering. If your normal size is a medium I would size up or if you are a large, size up one. I could wear a double XL for more comfort with these because they are tighter.These are a great length and thankfully, NOT HIGH RISE like 99% of all pants and shorts on the market. Great fit, wash and dry well, no pilling.I got the black and grey ones. I'm 5'5 115lbs and I got a medium. I wasn't sure how these would fit because my waist is like 27 inches and the medium is supposed to be 29.1 inches. They're a little baggy everywhere but the waist (I don't need that drawstring to keep them up) but this is probably due to my own body shape (I ordered a size up but also have a short waist and stuff always fits me weird). They look good but feel a little uncomfortable--like they're trying to keep bunching up around my thighs (I'm not sure if this is because they're too big or too high-waisted or because they're tighter in the waist? Or maybe it's just my body shape?). The drawstring is really long and will create an unsightly bulge if your shirt goes over it so plan to wear them accordingly. The fabric is somewhat stretchy and lightweight (30% polyester, 5% spandex, 65% cotton); they say "machine washable" but also "gentle" and it's definitely the kind of fabric I would avoid putting in warm water or the dryer (maybe that's just me, but whatever; I like my clothes to last). The seams aren't crooked or bulging anywhere, like you sometimes get with cheap clothes.This is not the sort of fabric I would ever get "activewear" in though. They're fine for "loungewear" but I'm not sure they'd hold up to regular work outs (personally, the only way I can find good "activewear" at this price is if it's on clearance, so this was the quality I expected). They aren't see-thru on me but then again, I ordered 1 size up. I suspect they won't be see-thru unless you get them super tight--and I would definitely avoid ordering these super tight because I don't think they'd hold up too well to the strain. These have a flattering cut. They don't look like bike shorts with a drawstring, which was what I was afraid of. They look exactly like the product picture (only slightly baggier on me). I could wear them high waisted or under my belly button and they look fine either way, so they're pretty versatile.These shorts are so cute and comfortable. Good for workout, yoga, and everyday wear. The only thing I would like to change is the drawstring. It is too long but I fixed it by cutting it myself and tie a knot at the end, and now it is all good. You can see in the picture the drawstring is a little shorter.I bought about 5 different styles and prints of these shorts. The floral ones and dark grey are very similar in fit and fabric. The tie dye pattern doesn't stretch nearly as much and is quite a bit smaller so I had to return those. The camo is a slightly different type of material but soft and stretchy. The size M and L are so close they are almost indiscernible. The L waist was slightly larger but I found no difference in the leg opening and length at all. I'm 5'8" and 160 lbs with larger hips and thighs and kept the size M. These are definitely bed shorts for me, I wouldn't wear them out and about because of the short length. But for that purpose they are exactly what I was looking for. They don't stretch out and lose their shape like so many bed shorts I've tried in the past.My wife likes the comfortable fit of these shortsI love them, I also bought a small because it is my size, but these medium ones are looser for lounge and sleeping in. These are my favorite shorts for around the house, sleeping, and I wear my normal size ones when I go out to the park or forest for walking. They are decently soft, have maintained their color and elastic waist band through so many washes. I will be buying more, both the medium for house and small for public. I have to fold the waist over on the mediums at least once so they stay on better but they have a drawstring as well. I would recommend getting your normal size or if you just want looser ones for around the house and sleep a size up and using the drawstring or fold the waist over once. I like how they highlight my legs and butt, and maintain their color and fit after many washes. The quality for price is insane. I did notice that some of the other color schemes look to be other materials so make sure to read reviews for that specific product to make sure they have the same fitting and quality but I imagine so. They are thinner, which I prefer, because they're perfect for summer; just don't expect thick sweatshirt material. They don't wrinkle, and they wash well. They're also long enough so my butt's not hanging out, but not so long they look frumpy.The one thing I didn't like is, as other reviewers have mentioned, the drawstring, which is bizarrely, comically long. Left untied, both ends went several inches past the short length. Tied, the bow was huge, and the ends still hung way too long. Not sure what the purpose of such a long drawstring is because it's really not flattering.I solved this issue by cutting the drawstring at both ends and tying the ends off. You can see it in the pictures. The ends were not finished off, so they would have frayed over time anyway.Also, these shorts do run about a half to full size small. I'm 5'8" and 130 pounds. I wear a 4/6 or S in bottoms. After reading reviews, I ordered a medium and it fits exactly how I want lounge/ walk-around shorts to fit: relaxed but not baggy. I do have to tighten the drawstring. A small would have fit too, but I prefer lounge wear to be a little looser.Order a size up if you prefer a more relaxed fit.Not a fan of camo but really liked the style so ordered them anyway. Ordered size medium and the style and fit are perfect! I am super happy with them! JUNK!I love these!!! The material is nice, can wash and dry in machines. The fit is as expected. Looks just like the pic. I’m normally an XL on bottoms, so true to size. I wear them around the house and as PJ’sMe encanta, es buenísimo para hacer yoga en épocas de calor. Mi único problema es que las agujetas son muy largas y tiene que hacer dobles moños que pueden ser estorbosos pero opté por cortarlas y ahora me va de maravilla.
